Ruizhi Chen is a professor at Wuhan University and an academician at the Finnish Academy of Sciences and Letters. He is the former director of the State Key Laboratory of Mapping and Remote Sensing Information Engineering at Wuhan University. He is an internationally renowned scholar in the field of navigation and positioning, and is dedicated to theoretical research and core technology development of seamless indoor and outdoor navigation and positioning for smartphones and enhanced low-orbit satellite navigation. Prof. Chen mainly targets the technical problems of weak navigation satellite signals that cannot penetrate indoor space, and conducts research on high accuracy and high availability of smartphones and BeiDou low-orbit navigation augmentation, promoting the expansion of China's BeiDou navigation system services from outdoor to indoor, and upgrading from ground to low-orbit space. He has held the positions of Chair Professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Director of the Navigation Department and Professor at Geodesy Institute of Finland, and Project Manager at Nokia Finland. Now he is leading one key project of the National 13th Five-Year Plan and one key project of the Natural Science Foundation. He has led and participated in more than twenty research projects with a total project funding of 150 million RMB.
Prof. Chen has published two English works, 97 SCI papers, two Computer Top Society papers, and one ESI highly cited paper. His research achievements have been featured twice on the cover of GPS Worlds, a famous American journal in the field of navigation. He used to serve as the chairman of the Global Chinese Navigation and Positioning Association, the director of the Nordic Navigation Society, and the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Global Positioning Systems and other international academic part-time jobs. In 2020, he has been awarded the Special Award for Scientific and Technological Progress in Surveying and Mapping, as well as the "2020 Smart City Pioneer List Leader" at the China Smart City Conference. As an instructor, he has guided students to win several world championships in international competitions in the field of indoor positioning during 2018-2020.

Professor Jun Li, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2022, is engaged in the research on blind source separation and remote sensing data interpretation. In virtue of the blind source separation technology, she has proposed an unmixing model that can simultaneously obtain the number, information, and mixing parameters of blind sources to unmix the earth observation data from space, which breaks through the bottleneck of information separation when the number of blind sources is unknown. She has also put forward a fusion model for geographic optimal transport, which realizes the high-precision fusion of heterogeneous geospatial data, and a quantitative feature model with independent categories, which allows the accurate classification and recognition of remote sensing data. These research results have been widely applied in informatics, geography, biomedicine, and other fields by researchers both in China and beyond.
With nearly 100 papers that received over 5,000 citations by SCI journals, Professor Li has been selected into the rank of highly-cited researchers by Clarivate Analytics and Elsevier. She is an IEEE Fellow and Editor-in-chief of the IEEE JSTARS journal. Professor Li has chaired more than ten national, provincial, and ministerial-level scientific research projects, including projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, and projects of the National Defense Pre-Research Foundation of China. Additionally, she is the winner of the CSIG Shi Qingyun Young Female Scientist Award and the IEEE GRSS Early Career Award.
主要从事盲源分离与遥感数据解译研究。利用盲源分离技术解决空间对地观测数据混合问题,提出了可同时获取盲源数量、信息及混合参数的解混模型,突破了盲源数量未知情况下的信息分离瓶颈;提出了地理最优传输融合模型,实现了地理空间异构信息的高精度融合;提出了类别独立的定量化特征模型,实现了遥感数据的精准分类识别。成果被国内外学者广泛应用于信息学、地理学、生物医学等领域研究。发表论文近100篇,被SCI引用5000多次,入选科睿唯安、爱思唯尔高被引学者,IEEE Fellow,担任IEEE JSTARS期刊主编等。主持国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发项目子课题、国防预研等10余项国家和省部级科研项目。获中国图象图形学学会石青云女科学家青年奖、IEEE地球科学与遥感协会(GRSS)青年成就奖等。于2022年获国家杰出青年科学基金项目资助。

Dr. Xiuping Jia received a B.Eng. degree from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in January 1982. Later she received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from The University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1996 and 2005, respectively, via part-time study. She has had a lifelong academic career in higher education, for which she has continued passion. She is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Engineering and Information Technology, The University of New South Wales at Canberra, Australia. Her research interests include remote sensing, hyperspectral image processing, and spatial data analysis. She served as the inaugural Chair of IEEE ACT&NSW Section GRSS Chapter from 2011-2013. Dr. Jia has published widely addressing various topics, including data correction, feature reduction, and image classification using machine learning techniques. She co-authored the remote sensing textbook Remote Sensing Digital Image Analysis [Springer- Verlag, 3rd (1999) and 4th eds. (2006)]. She is the author of Field Guide to Hyperspectral/Multispectral Image Processing, SPIE, 2022. These publications are highly cited in the remote sensing and image processing communities with an h-index of 52 and an i-10-index of 171 (Google Scholar). Dr. Jia has served as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing.

Tao Chen, Associate Professor, was appointed as a Ph.D. supervisor in June 2019. He is mainly engaged in the research of intelligent representation and computation of geological information and remote sensing information processing of geological hazards. In the past five years, he has hosted and participated in more than 10 longitudinal research projects, including two projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project from the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province. Dr Alvarez obtained MsC and PhD degrees from University of California at Berkeley in 1970 and 1972, respectively. He has spent 48 years at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as a Professor and Researcher at the Institute of Applied Mathematics (IIMAS) and the Institute of Geophysics. In the 1989-1977 period he was director of the Institute of Geography. Between 1975-1977 he was Principal Investigator in NASA’s Lunar Sample Program. He has done research in electrical properties of rocks, Tectonics, and volcanic structures.

Jiang is a professor, senior engineer, PhD supervisor of Sun Yat-sen University. He is also the Deputy Director of the National‐Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for IoT Chip and System Application Technology, Director of IoT Chip and System Technology Engineering Laboratory of Guangdong Province, and an IEEE Senior Member. He has won honors including the Leading Expert of Science and Technology Innovation of Guangdong, a member of the “100 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talents Plan” of Guangzhou, and a member of the “121 Talent Ladder Program” of Guangzhou. Jiang obtained his doctoral degree from University of Southampton whose electronic and electrical engineering program remains top in the UK, and has worked with Global 500 enterprises: he was once an engineer in Samsung Research (UK), the manager and technical director of Guangdong R&D Center of Canadian Nortel Networks, Deputy Director of New Postcom Equipment and the President of its Research Institute in Guangzhou. When abroad, Jiang has chaired and participated in the EU FP6/FP7 Plan, the UK MVCE Research Initiative, and several other projects; when back in China, Jiang chaired some state key R&D programs, research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, and key research initiatives of Guangdong Province. With his research focus on modern mobile communication system, Jiang has so far authored and edited six books, published over 90 papers, applied more than 100 invention patents, and put forward over 400 3GPP LTE/LTE-A international standard proposals.

Wang is a master’s supervisor at Suzhou University of Science and Technology. He is the “Jinggang Youth Scholar Incentive Plan” of Jiangxi Province and “Qingjiang Talent Plan” of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. In 2019, Wang was awarded as the Excellent Young Expert of Geomatics Technology of Jiangxi; in 2018, he won the honor as the Model of Young Science and Technology Research of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. He is also a member of the Technical Committee of Virtual Geographic Environment of Chinese National Committee of International Society of Digital Earth. He has chaired three research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, authored four books and 22 papers, among which 11 are on SCI-indexed journals. Meanwhile, Wang has filed 10 inventive patents, seven of which were transferred or authorized, and has been approved for 13 software copyrights. Wang chaired three projects for higher education reforms in Jiangxi Province, one research project for degree and graduate education reforms, and one project for high-quality sharing courses of higher education in Jiangxi Province. Moreover, Wang has joined as a core team member for the proposal of “Excellence Plan of Geomatics Education” and “Construction of National First-class Specialty” Program, and completed the Accreditation of the geomatics subject on the Ministry of Education. Wang has published six papers on education reforms, supervised over 30 graduate students, where 13 won awards in the national or provincial graduate student innovation training programs, four were granted with national and provincial scholarship, and nine were authors of “Excellent Graduate Student Graduation Theses” of Jiangxi Province or Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.

He has been the technical committee chair for the 10th International Workshop on the Analysis of Multitemporal Remote sensing Images (MultiTemp2019), a member of the SPIE Remote Sensing Digital Forum: Image and Signal Processing for Remote Sensing (since 2020), the technical committee of Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Technology and Application of China Association of Remote Sensing Application, the technical committee on remote sensing image and graphics of China Society of Image and Graphics, and the working committee of deep space exploration, remote sensing and mapping of Chinese Society for Geodesy Photogrammetry and Cartography. He is also the associate editor of IEEE GRSL, an editorial member of several international journals and a guest editor for special issues. Moreover, as an IEEE Senior Member, Liu has been a candidate to the “Shanghai Young Science and Technology Star Plan” and “GIS New Star at Universities”.

Hang obtained his doctoral degree in meteorological information and technology from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. He is now a master’s supervisor, with research focuses on model recognition, remote sensing image analysis, and intelligent interpretation of meteorological big data. Hang has published more than 30 papers on international journals like IEEE-TGRS, IEEE-TIP, which have been cited for over 1200 times, and many are ESI highly-cited papers. Hang has chaired some research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Youth Foundation of Jiangsu Province. Honors that Hang has won include the Excellent Doctorate Thesis Award of Jiangsu, the Best Student Paper Award on Chinese Conference on Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision, the nominate for Best Student Paper Award on Chinese Conference on Computer Vision, and the Best Reviewer Award of IEEE-JSTARS. He is now a Topical Associate Editor of IEEE-JSTARS and was once a Guest Editor for the journal Remote Sensing. Since 2021, Hang has been the Secretary of the Technical Committee on Intelligent Remote Sensing of Jiangsu Association of Artificial Intelligence.

Li’s research mainly focuses on smart fusion of multisource remote sensing images, quality improvement of optical/SAR image, multisource multi-modal data fusion, deep learning, temporal and spatial big data mining and fusion. He has published 54 papers, among which 40 are on SCI-indexed journals and three are ESI highly-cited papers (top 1%), and has authored two books. Honors Li has received include the Best Paper Award on 2018WHISPERS, Outstanding Award on the national collegiate teaching contest of young surveying teachers, and First Prize in Surveying Technology Advances (2017). Li has chaired many research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of Hubei, the special funding projects for doctoral students, and many national and provincial research programs. Undergraduate courses he has taught include “Theory and Application of Remote Sensing”, “Machine Learning”, “Quantitative Remote Sensing”, and “Cloud Computing”. His research focuses are mainly on image fusion, hyperspectral computing, and imaging. Dian has chaired key research projects of Technical Committee of Ministry of National Defense, the National Natural Science Foundation, the Post-doctoral Science Foundation, the Natural Science Foundation of Changsha. Dian has published over 10 papers on top journals and conferences, among which 6 are ESI highly-cited papers. Chen obtained his doctoral degree in 2020 from School of Mathematical Sciences of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. When pursuing the doctoral degree, Chen received full sponsorship for a one-year study tour to RIKEN AIP. In March 2021, Chen joined the School of Computer Information Engineering of Jiangxi Normal University. So far, Chen has published 26 papers on journals and conferences, where 22 are on SCI-indexed journals including IEEE TIP, IEEE TCYB, ISPRS P&RR, IEEE TGRS, IEEE TCI and PR, with one ESI highly-cited paper. The total citations of his papers reached nearly 700 on Google Scholar. Chen has chaired one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and another one funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangxi, and has taken part in several research programs funded by the National Natural Science Foundation.
